TASTING

 NOTES

"The style of the 2001 Chauvignon Reserve is brilliant. The Cabernet Sauvignon is now showing its characteristics in a clear and wonderful way. Its Bordeaux like spectrum of flavors presents leather, cassis and juicy, California opulence. This, in combination with an appealing color of partridge eye and a beautiful mousse, and balance, makes this a world class sparkling wine, produced outside the district of Champagne. The Cabernet Sauvignon does not show any buttery flavours found in white wines and there is a hint of tannins in the aftertaste."

Richard Juhlin,
Number one champagne expert in the world

Sjoeblom Winery creates a truly unique and awarded sparkling wine using only the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Napa Valley. This wine is a Blanc de Noir [white wine made of red grapes] with a brilliant light coral tint to its otherwise white color. The Chauvignon Reserve is made from the old traditional French rules of Champagne making. To our knowledge, we are the only winery in the world producing this type of sparkling wine which has enticed the worlds wine connoisseurs the past 17 years.

The taste is fruit forward and rich with freshness that only a Cabernet Sauvignon grape can offer in a Méthode Champegnoise process. The Chauvignon Reserve is a wonderful Brut with lots of flavours of summer fruits and freshness suitable for any occasion and food.

The crisp and fresh flavors of Chauvignon Reserve originates from the specific winemaking skills Sjoeblom Winery have developed the past 17 years. The bubbles from Sjoeblom Winery is based on the best grapes in the world. The Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the valley floor of Napa Valley, one of the most prestigious wine countries in the world.

"Looks as golden pale as a classic brut, but the full-bodied, ripe flavors of cherries and cassis-infused cream give it away as Cabernet Sauvignon. It's an unusual bubbly, but delicious, and fruity-rich enough to wash down everything from steak to chocolate cake."
